Dear Friend,
As we sat down to write this letter we asked ourselves “What did God do in our lives in 2005?”
The answer is that God has answered many prayers. Thus, we could follow his will for us to teach and mentor seminary students who will help to reach the billions of unreached people in Asia!
Besides teaching and mentoring students, we have made progress in our doctoral studies, though we still are not finished. There have been days we have wondered if we will ever get them done…
We have done our best to follow the example of the Apostle Paul: “We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28 NIV). This is our theme verse for our ministries.
Please see below for a few examples and photos of how we saw God at work in 2005!
We have also included a schedule inside which we hope you will use as a prayer guide. Thank you!
May you have an Inspiring God-Became-A-Person Day!
(Merry Christmas!); and a
Meaningful God-Will-Continue-To-Be-At-Work-In-2006 Day!
(Happy New Year!)

“We proclaim him, admonishing & teaching ...”
(Col. 1:28a NIV)
A picture is worth a thousand words! We are really grateful that we are able to use PowerPoint in many of our classes. Powerpoint is effective in displaying the photos, diagrams, and images that are important for this generation of visual learners.
One student told Amor yesterday how she not only learns in Jay's classes, but is challenged to grow spiritually.
Last June, God answered prayer at BSOP by providing another projector, so that more faculty can use PowerPoint! PTL!
Please continue to pray for us to teach effectively, creatively, and well, using appropriate learning exercises and visual aids.

Amor taught a class on the History, Philosophy, and Theology of Christian Education to students from 3 Asian countries at the Asian Theological Seminary from June until October. She had to turn down teaching another class there in order to focus on her doctoral studies.
Here in the Philippines, unfortunately, Christmas and TV are no less materialistic and commercial than in the US.
One way to teach the importance of Jesus and the gospel is to send students out on mission trips. Jay (below) sent this group to a Mangyan tribal village in Mindoro in October. (He also sent two similar groups to other villages, for a total of 17 students). God used them! They learned a lot! PTL!

“… so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.”
(Col. 1:28b NIV)
Amor continues to mentor and pray with a variety of ladies-students, wives, and others. It is not easy to become like Christ or to help others to do so. It takes hours of listening, Bible study, and prayer.
Please continue to pray for us as we help women and men become perfect in Christ!
We continue to be glad that we live on campus so that we are available for personal ministry as we are needed.
Becoming a pastor or missionary is not easy. The students need all the help they can get, not least of all from your prayers.

Construction of a new wing of the dormitory with 32 new rooms (3 students per room) began in November, even though not all funds are in. The current wing, with only 24 rooms, is overcrowded. Please continue to pray for these funds, along with the new students to fill the rooms!

God has already provided an apartment in Denver for us to live in and a car! PTL!
(Other Bible studies, sermons, our doctoral studies, etc. are not listed due to lack of space.) Thank you for praying!

Jay now uses comic strips in almost every class he teaches and sermon he preaches. Being able to use PowerPoint has made that possible. His students not only learn much in his classes, but many also enjoy his well-selected comics.
May God give you grace and peace to handle the season!
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!
Thank You!
