Four BSOP students are saying:
"Finding someone willing to go to the mission field with me is difficult."
"How will I know if she is the one?"
"My parents will only allow me to marry another Chinese. But…?"
"I wish I were married. Why is it so hard to wait?"
And Jay is saying: "The right spouse can double your ministry. The wrong one can halve it." (A saying of a number of my professors at Denver Seminary when I was a student there in the 1980s and which I am happy to pass on.)

Please ask the Lord to guide our single students (the majority) to the right life partners, if any.
[Jay recently took his students (only a few in the photo) to a nearby church for a Field Trip.]
Dear Prayer Partner,
February is the heart of this term, which began with the New Year and ends late in March.
Valentine's Day is really a BIG deal in the Philippines. Please pray for our interaction with students in class and out on relationship issues with the complementary sex (see above).
Jay has a heavy teaching load. In addition, please pray for him during the following `extras':
Feb. 6-8 - At the OMF-Philippines Council (decisions for OMF's ministries here)
Feb. 12-14 - At the BSOP Faculty-Student Retreat (Deepening relationships with the students in a mostly informal way. Answering lots of questions. Having some fun.)
Rev. Franklin Graham has a crusade here in Manila February 2-5. We are not able to be involved in the crusade. But, members of our church are, as well as some of our students, through their churches. Please see http://www.mmfgf.org/ for details and prayer requests.
We pray that you will enjoy remembering how much God loves you, during this month of love.
Happy Valentines Day!
Jay and Amor
Thank you for your 2005 Financial Support!
Please continue to pray for 2006.
