Hallowell Heartbeats Prayer Letter
Oct/Nov 2006
Dear Prayer Partner,
We will be traveling to Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, Lord willing, Oct. 21 to Nov. 25.
We will be speaking at churches, children´s groups, and two college outreaches, as well as visiting current and potential prayer partners and supporters. The trip will end with two family Thanksgiving celebrations.
Well, you might ask, isn´t this what you are in the USA to do? And you are indeed correct! This, though, does not lessen the feeling we have about the importance of prayer. Besides asking for safety on the road, please pray that God would use us to give His message for each group and person.
This is a bigger prayer request than you may think, since we haven´t seen most of these churches, groups, or people in over five years. We feel out of touch with them. We believe, however, that just as God answered your prayers while we were in the Philippines, He will do the same while we are
here.
May God use our reconnecting, reporting, speaking and traveling to generate the prayers, new missionary candidates, and funds needed to continue the urgent evangelization of the billions of unreached peoples in
East Asia.
Holding on to His faithfulness,
Jay and Amor
Amor among the giants?
Yes!
These members of the Hallowell Support Group of our home church, First
Denver Friends Church (FDFC), are indeed giants in our eyes. They do so
much for God, His kingdom, His church, and us. We have loved being back
at FDFC, not least of all enjoying this picnic in the mountains in
September. Thank you!
Please pray:
- for seminary students in the Philippines in the middle of their second
academic quarter, which ends before Christmas.
- for the Biblical Seminary of the Philippines (BSOP) as they open the new
dormitory this month. The new dorm will be much appreciated by those in
temporary housing. Moving still could be a potential distraction from
studies for many.
- for seminary graduates as they serve in their varied ministries
scattered across Asia.
