Costs
From out Sept. 8, 2010 Prayer Letter: "Last week a church in the US wrote us that our support will be delayed because giving to their missions budget is down. Please pray for our supporting churches and financial partners. Please pray for new partners and churches to make up for the support we still lack." We look to God to increase this while we are in the US from May 2011 to April 2012 so that we can return to the Philippines to continue the ministries to which He has called us.
How much does it cost for you to serve as missionaries?
For 2011: $51,716
For 2010: $47,503
Actual giving for 2002 to 2009 compared to 2010 needs (US Dollars):
The single biggest reason for the increase in support needed between 2009 and 2010 is a change in US based medical insurance. The cost of medical insurance is a scary number!
Please continue to ask our Lord to provide.
How will your support be used? In 2010:
Blue: For us, but used in the Philippines
Red: For us, but funds held in the USA
403b is our individual retirement plan (for non-profit organizations)
 SECA is Social Security
HA is Home (Mobilization) Assignment in the USA. We are due for Home Assignment in May 2011. HA is more expensive than living in the Philippines. So, each year we raise some extra money for HA and save it until our Home Assignment.
Green: Used by OMF personnel in the USA, Singapore, and the Philippines for various OMF ministries and for administration (ad-ministries).
We never know how many budgetary details to put up on a page like this. We are not trying to hide anything. Nor do we want to overwhelm anyone with too many details. If you want more details, contact us. We'll be happy that someone is interested enough to ask. And we will do our best to answer.
Does it matter when we give?
Generally, it doesn't matter which month you give. OMF has ways to average it out, as long as the support is in by the end of the year. Curious about when people and churches tend to give?
Please continue to ask our Lord to provide.
