Links - Integral Missions
I will start with the links I have put on handouts for groups I have recently spoken to, including my BSOP students. Clicking on a link is so much easier than typing it in...
In October 2007 I was introduced to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals and to the Micah Challenge, a group of Christians who are involved in Integral Mission (that is acting in society in word and deeds) in acts of compassion and justice along with the message of justification in Christ. They see how the transformation of individuals by the good news about Jesus should lead to the transformation of their lives and their communities. This has made sense to me of the teaching of the whole Bible. So, I have been trying, in my modest way, to integrate this into my teaching and life. One of our neighbors at the Far East Broadcasting Company, Caloy Diño, has begun a blog on Integral Mission with the Philippines in mind.

and the teachings of Jesus concerning the poor, and
when we have the means to dramatically reduce poverty.
We commit ourselves, as followers of Jesus,
...."

I continue to believe that we can do more working together than working separately. Below are some of the NGOs focused on Integral Mission, including evangelism, I look to first for partnership in Integral Missions. I do not intend to be exhaustive here. I know I have left out many worthy organizations. Sorry. These are suggestions to my students for places to start...
B. Some faith-based organizations and church-based foundations in the Philippines are involved in integral mission or wholistic transformation. (There are many more!)
