Dear Prayer Partner,
What is a Muslim? B., an imam at the largest mosque in the northern Philippines city of Baguio, answered this question by a definition. "A Muslim," he said, "is someone who submits to God."
What is a Christian? We answer the question by telling a story. A Christian is someone whom God created and called, and for whom He became a human being, lived, did good, taught, died, rose, sent the Holy Spirit, and will return.
Every other religion is about what people must do. Christianity is about what God--Father, Son, and Spirit--has done, is doing, and will do for people. The difference is huge and significant in everyway. Wow!
Thank you for praying for the eleven groups that went out from the seminary on mission trips last October. The reports from the groups have been really good. Church members were encouraged, taught, and challenged. Non-Christians were informed about Jesus and invited to follow Him. Several accepted, PTL! The poor were fed. Those in prison were visited. Drop-outs were helped to get back in school. And so much more. Not least of all, our seminary students learned invaluable and essential lessons
they could not learn in a classroom. Thank you for your prayers!
Along with the normal Christmas busyness, our December calendars are full of the normal end-of-the-quarter responsibilities and normal preparation for the next academic quarter, which will begin on January 5. We do not expect to have a break, except for the holidays themselves. We long for your prayers for these normal December things. Thank you!
Because Jesus the Messiah was born!
