Dear Prayer Partner,
Thank you! God has answered your prayers about grading and graduation! It has been a hard but successful end-of-the-school-year for us and all.
April, for us and our BSOP faculty colleagues, is for Sharpening the Saw. (Thanks to Stephen Covey for this phrase.)
The BSOP curriculum needs to be updated and revised, a time-consuming process. Please pray for effective sharpening of the BSOP curriculum `saw´.
We and our faculty colleagues want to evaluate and improve our teaching skills. On April 13-15, we will go together to a conference to do that. Please pray for helpful sharpening of these teaching `saws´.
We need to continue our doctoral studies. Please pray for the sharpening of our research `saws´.
Jesus died and rose! Nothing sharpens our `saws´ more than reflecting on this. May we all do so this month of Easter!
Because so much here needs to be `cut´,
Jay and Amor
Three verbs describe the people in the photo above.
GRADUATED: We poured our lives, our hearts, our knowledge, our experience, our skill, and our relationship to God into many of the graduates above. You prayed for them. Their `saws´ are as sharp as we can make them. PTL!
COMMENCING: We are excited about the graduates now beginning their various ministries. Please pray for their `saws´ to `cut´ effectively.
SCATTERING: The continuing students are scattering into their various summer (April and May) ministries at camps and conferences. Many will also have a one-month practicum at a church that is new to him or her. Being scattered in the summer is part of their seminary training. They are expected to both pass on what they have learned so far at BSOP and to learn how much they still need to learn. Please pray that God will use these ministries and practicums to sharpen their `saws´!
