Dear Prayer Partner,
The starter´s flag has been waved. The race has begun. The engines are roaring. Another school year has begun at BSOP.
On Monday Amor spent all afternoon talking and praying with a pastor´s wife.
On Monday and Tuesday Jay taught all day each day, finishing a five-day module class. Thank you for praying: the course was exhausting, but it went well.
On Wednesday about 55 new students began three days of orientation to BSOP. Each of them is here because God answered prayers. 15 of these students do not yet have scholarships. Please join us and BSOP in praying for these last essential scholarships to be provided soon.
On Thursday Jay taught an orientation session on cultural adjustment for these new students. Also yesterday, Amor had to decline to speak at a youth camp of a nearby church.
Today (Friday) we joined the ground-breaking ceremony for a new 6-unit apartment building on the grounds of the seminary. Some BSOP faculty and staff have no retirement provision. These apartments are to house these retirees and give them opportunity to both enjoy their retirement and pass on their hard-earned wisdom and experience to the students also living on campus. We are delighted that the seminary has the foresight, vision, and courage to build this.
On Monday, June 8 the new regular academic year will begin. We will be teaching New Testament 4, English, and Inductive Bible Study and mentoring some of our new students. We will be making our own doctoral studies our highest priority, though.
The race is about endurance, not speed. The goal is to finish well. The glory is for God and the growth of His kingdom here in Asia. Please pray for us and the students here at the seminary! We need the endurance, excellence, and encouragement only God can give.
Because the race is His!

Answered Prayer (May Prayer Letter)
May went quickly, with an excellent OMF conference for missionaries and a nice vacation.
We are starting the race of the new school year with a full tank of gas. Thank you for praying!
