Dear Prayer Partner,
On January 5, 2010, we quietly passed a milestone in our ministries. We completed 20 years as members of OMF-International serving here in the Philippines.
In 20 years...
Fruitfully, God has led us to focus on students in the Philippines.
First, college and university students through Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF).
Then, new missionaries studying Filipino languages and cultures.
Now, seminary students both from the Philippines and mainland Asia.
We rejoice with the many students who have taken what they received from us and are now ministering as laypeople, church members, pastors and missionaries. God is using them to reach the Philippines and beyond.
Our biggest disappointments are those students who have lost the faith, no longer serving their creator and redeemer. These are relatively few. Their loss, though, is deeply felt.
We are overwhelmed by our Lord’s faithful provision. For 20 years we have not directly asked any human being to support us. God the Father has provided enough through our prayers and the prayers of partners like you. Thank you, Lord.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. God is using you! Thank you.
We believe that God has continued to call us to serve with OMF, here in the Philippines. More can be done to reach Asia’s unreached by working together than by working separately.
Please continue to pray for OMF and us in this task of reaching the unreached.
Happy Chinese New Year (Feb. 14, 2010),
Jay and Amor
