Pasko
(Pasko means "Christmas" in Tagalog)
We hope that you had a wonderful and meaningful Christmas and holiday season!
We enjoyed an afternoon off on November 24 preparing for Christmas, 2002. Among other things we found our camera and used it!

Enjoying our simple small Christmas tree in our living room.

Hanging a few more lights on the divider that hides our kitchenette from the living room.

Amor prepares a nice lunch in our kitchenette.

It is Jay's turn to do the dishes.

Our apartment is on the top (second) floor of this building, along with a number of dorm rooms and another apartment for a couple. The stacks of the library are on the first floor.
|
Enjoying our pets, Faith and Charity. We did have Hope as well until he/she/it died a while ago. In any case, Charity is still the greatest of these! (See 1 Corinthians 13 in the King James Version if the above doesn't make sense.)

Our big BSOP Christmas Party was on Friday, December 13. Jay was asked a month or so ago to play Santa Claus at the party. But he hasn't been able to get a Santa Claus suit, so was quite happy to have a less active role in the party.
We spent Christmas in Baguio City, about 6 hours by bus from Manila at 5000 feet up in the mountains. We stayed at the OMF house there with other OMF missionaries and enjoyed Christmas with them, as well as a nice break. As always we really enjoyed Baguio. We had a really nice "family" Christmas in Baguio, then on Dec. 26 celebrated our first ever "Boxing Day", a cultural treat. There Jay was asked to play Santa Claus, another first for him. They found a suit for him there...
