Dear Praying Friend,
Each seminary term takes on a life of its own that seems to consume every moment when one is the middle of it, as we are now. This is not all bad. Figuring out ways to teach and mentor in creative, interesting, and relevant ways demands a level of energy that is both stimulating and exhilarating. Taking time to challenge this student, correct that one, and encourage yet another is challenging, but never boring.
But it is possible to lose sight of the forest because of all the trees. We really need your prayers as we work hard here to see this batch of students transformed to be like Jesus in character, world view, relationships, and ministry skill. This feels like an impossible task. And rightfully so. It is impossible without God's initiative and involvement. Please continue to pray for us and our students, not only for their studies but also for how God will prepare and use them in ministry.
May God's kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, in us, in BSOP students, and in your life!
Jay and Amor

“I really appreciate the kind professor who pays detailed attention to the work of his students. At least now I know where I need to improve...
I really enjoyed our class because I learned a lot from it. You taught us how to work so that even when the class was over we are still able to pursue further learning because of the skills that we developed in your class. Thanks, Prof.”
Better than an apple! This note Jay received recently from a student really encouraged him!
